Deaf Connexions has an advocacy service for Deaf people in Norwich and East Norfolk based in the Deaf Centre in Norwich.

If you are Deaf and a British Sign Language user who needs help with letters, bills or information that you do not understand and English is not your first language or you need some support or advice, our Deaf Advocate can help you. The area we cover is shown on the map below.




Examples of issues for which support can be provided are:

  • Support with Housing
  • Benefit appeals
  • Applying for Benefits
  • Complaints
  • Support with money
  • Access to services

Deaf Centre

The Deaf Centre is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm.

There is always something happening at the centre. The Talking Hands Cafe is open Tues, Weds and Thurs, and offers a comfy lounge where you can use the Internet have a cup of coffee and catch up on the latest information.
